Business Management

AIBS recognises and acknowledges the unrealistic burden placed on Aboriginal organisations in delivering care to Aboriginal and Torres Islander communities. The pressure of providing a coordinated approach to prevention and management of disease with limited resources is highly challenging for most businesses. However, Aboriginal organisations have the added burden of servicing a community that has the lowest health, education and economic status in the nation. Aboriginal organisations are also faced with the challenge of delivering services in rural and remote areas where the majority of social, health, education and welfare services are limited or unavailable.

Finally and perhaps the largest burden on these organisations is the magnitude of scrutiny placed on them by funding agencies to provide lengthy, tedious and repetitive reporting on each facet of the organisation.

AIBS has been working with Aboriginal organisations to streamline this process and provide an intelligent business management systems for reporting that is less time consuming but more accurate, viable and applicable across the organisation at the human, administrative and program level.
